We had a great weekend! We bought a car on Friday!!! It is a silver 2007 Nissan Sentra. We had been scowering the internet looking for Toyotas and Mazdas but then I found the Nissan Sentra. After reading Consumer Reports and every other comment comparing Corollas and Sentras we decided to test drive the Sentra. Thursday night we went to the dealership and they only had the black one so we test drove it. The brakes squeaked and we didn’t love the interior or exterior colors so we came back Friday when the silver one would be back. MUCH BETTER! No squeaks, good colors and the car seat fits with ample room. (Thanks Bill and Stacey for bringing Hailey and the car seat over to the dealership for us!) After some negotiations, we bought the car. It is so nice to drive a car that you actually feel safe in.

Saturday we ran a couple of errands, just so we could get in the car, but mostly relaxed.

Easter Sunday was so nice. We drove to Newman and went to church with the family. Then back to Grandma and Grandpa’s for some lunch (or as they call, dinner). We played Canasta and then headed for home. A very pleasant day!

I wanted to thank everyone for their cards, emails, gift s and messages for my birthday. I had a great one! I got a new game console, a Playstation 3, and have been playing more than I should. Cheryl has been a good sport about it. I have been playing a game called Call of Duty 4, it is a war game that I can play online with/against my friends (if you have a PS3 and CoD4 and want to play let me know).

More importantly Cheryl and I are looking to get a new car. Since the baby is comming and my van is on its last leg we are going to start shopping for a new car. We have been leaning towards a Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3, or something like those. We will keep you posted if we find a winner. Happy St. Patricks Day!
