Talk Talk Talk

March 5th, 2010 — 9:15pm

Wow! Talk about a long time since an update!

Well Lily is doing just great! She took her first airplane trip in January for Matt and Jenna’s wedding and she had a blast! She was SO good on the plane, it was amazing. She colored and played with toys and read books and even took a nap! She’s perfect! While we were in Arizona we had a great time! We visited with a lot of family and relaxed. Lily had a blast at Oma’s house. The night before we came back she started her signature cough and breathing fast. We had a couple of vials of medicine but definitely not as many as we should have had… now we know! Since she was working so hard to breathe, it pretty much wore her out and she slept almost the whole flight home and car ride. The next day we took her into the Dr and it was pretty yucky. I was almost positive we were going to make another trip to the hospital. Luckily the Dr gave her some medicine and put Continue reading »

Wow! Time Flies!!!

December 12th, 2009 — 9:32am

Ok, so usually I update the website about once a month or so… I’m a little behind! Since Lily’s first birthday she has taken off walking. She goes everywhere now! She still has her unsteady moments but is actually really great at catching herself before she falls (I think she practicing to be a gymnast :) ).

FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

October 2nd, 2009 — 8:16pm

Lilia is ONE!!!

My baby is a year old! We cannot believe how fast this first year has gone. Lily is doing great! She had her one year appointment today and the Dr is thrilled with her progress considering all she has been through in the past 12 months. Josh and I were thinking back about all of the sicknesses she has faught this past year and came up with: RSV, pneumonia, 2 viruses that caused fevers, roseola, 3 ear infections, and random colds that causes her to wheeze. But she is a trooper and just rollin with the punches!

Talkin’, crawlin’ and cruisin’

September 3rd, 2009 — 7:40pm

Our little Lily-bean is growing up so fast! Her first birthday is only three weeks away!!! We are getting prepared for the big day and just can’t wait to see what she thinks about cake.

If you have been keeping up, you know that I have some issues with Lily and “processed” foods so cake and sugar will be completely new to her. She is a great eater though. She eats just about anything you put in front of her. The only thing that we have found that she’s not a super fan of is mashed potatoes and gravy…we’ll see this might change.

Disorganized Crawler

August 6th, 2009 — 9:11pm

Well she learned to crawl! Its pretty much the most disorganized crawl you will ever see but she does get where she wants to go! The physical therapist really wanted us to encourage her to crawl to help strengthen her upper back so that’s what we have been doing. She also got her collar adjusted and now the “stays” are longer and it seems to be working pretty well. Our physical therapist said that she is getting really close to moving from once a week to every other week, so that is a good sign!

Let’s talk about food. So I had been bringing food to daycare and then realized that this is rediculous and that she can eat the food there. So since I have started letting her eat “daycare food” she has had blueberry muffin, bagel, english muffin, pancakes, waffle, hamburger, fries, pizza, chicken nuggest and poptarts! The ladies at daycare know my craziness and asked me if she could have the poptart or if I wanted them to find something else for her. Wow, poor Lily has the crazy momma at daycare! But she loves it. Apparently the only thing she hasnt’ eaten is mashed potatoes.

She still babbles to herself all day. Its adorable! She has learned to wave. Usually she waves about 5 minutes after its appropriate because we have already been gone for awhile but she’s getting there.

She apparently also learned that she can stand up in the crib at daycare. She hasn’t quite figured it out at home yet, but I’m sure its coming.

Knock on wood, her ear infection is all cleared up and she is doing well.

We are going to two weddings on Saturday so hopefully we can take some cute family pics while we are all dressed in our Sunday’s best.
